- Chuck E Weiss
- Charles Edward Weiss (March 18, 1945 – July 20, 2021) was an American songwriter and vocalist. A fixture on the Los Angeles scene, Weiss was known for an eclectic mix of blues, beat poetry, and rock and roll. His music included strains of every rhythmic style from nursery rhymes to zydeco.
- Don Heffington
- Don Heffington (December 20, 1950 – March 24, 2021)[1] was an American drummer, percussionist, and songwriter. He was a founding member of the Los Angeles alternative country band Lone Justice, which he performed with from 1982 to 1985. Heffington was also a member of the bluegrass band Watkins Family Hour, recorded three solo albums, and was a session and touring musician for various artists, including Lowell George, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Victoria Williams, the Wallflowers, the Jayhawks, and Joanna Newsom.

- If you were part of the high school music scene in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, chances are you’ve heard of Michael Gangemi, better known as Mr. G or simply G. Gangemi, who inspired a legion of student musicians for nearly 30 years, died on June 20 from liver and kidney failure. He was 49.
